Forever friends stamps

These stamps are exclusive set of stamps from The Glitter Pot they are located in the UK.

I used Doodle bug and Bazzil paper on this candle holder. I ripped the edges and inked them in chestnut roan ink. the star is one of a button packs that Doodle bug had out last year. the snowflake are Ek punches with a basic gray pearl in the middle . To tone down the color of the button and pearl I inked them both with Chestnut ink. the ribbon in from Bazzil .I finished off with liquid appliqued
This is another one of the forever friend stamps from my new stamps I used the same paper and embellishments as in the candle holder. I add one on Martha Stewart's edger, the Christmas tree .Both of the bears where colored with copic markers and white gel pen.

The Season is HERE

Love this time of year. Very busy with everything I have to do. Just got some new stamps From Belles and Whistles and from Magnolia. I am so excited to get started on my Christmas gifts to my friends and family.
Been very busy . Had Thanksgiving at my house, then spent to the night in Chicago on Saturday, then off to Bloomington. for our first on the family Christmas parties

This gingerbread house is real yo get off the elevator on to his floor of the hotel and you are over whelmed with the smell off gingerbread. The children asked if they could eat some.

This is Millennium Park in Chicago. We were going to go Ice skating there but the line was to long. So we told the girl that we are going to New York in Feb. to go Ice staking at Rockefeller Center. and a lot more. or when we go to the city for the night in Jan.

This is the Nutcracker outside the hotel we stayed at. Got to love this time of the season. The city is so lovely.

Last thing we did that night was to go the Marshall Field's window ( I know its Macy's but it will always be Fields windows to me.)
What a Great Weekend

Used Basic grey pearls for the bell ringers ,the holly's and ribbon are colored in with Copic markers and highlighted with unball white pen. The berries are Mark Richard's rhinestones and the glitter ball are from Mark Richard's also. Finished off with shimmered ribbon.

Carmel Apple

This past weekend my children wanted to make Carmel apples .OK sound like fun. So we made the Caramel from scratch , which was pretty easy. But i should of read the directions at the bottom of the recipe how to prepare the apples if they were store bought. Store bought apple have a very thick coat of wax on them. So the Carmel did stick to well to the apples but it was fun. after making the apples we took all the left over Carmel ,candies, nuts and toffee and mixed it all together and made a very large candy bar.

Apple Fest

It was rain on an off on Sat.but day after getting off work my children still wanted to go to Long Grove Apple Fest. I was surprised they wanted to spend the day in the rain. By the time we left the rain stop. On the way we ran into some trouble, first the
the camera battery was dead and the spare was at home,so we went to Walmart for the pocket camera hope the picture come out. then we missed a turn didn't realize 53 has so many turns. Then we get there, which we have never gone to this fest before and there was a five dollar parking fee. NO CASH ON HAND, good thing one of the lots was a bank and the gentleman let my pay for the spot after i got in. Then not knowing the area very well my GAS LIGHT go ON......but after all that the kids had a great time. we waited an hour to buy our brown bag pie it was well worth it. Now i have to wait five days for my picture and hope they come out, spoiled with the digital camera. next weekend to St. Charles for the scarecrow fest. I will be prepared- battery charged........

the nerve

People have a lot of nerve. My daughter walked away from her bike for a very short time. Tori walked between two house to get her brother to come home and when she turn around her bike was gone. Couldn't have been more than a few minutes. I hope who ever took her bike really needed it. We just got it for her at the end of last summer so it was in great shape, just like new. Now we have to go out and buy her a new bike. The police officer that took the report about what happen was really nice. The day after it was report about the same time it was taken he went to the houses and asked the people who lived in the area if they saw anything. I just thought they would take the report and if the bike got turn in call us.
