this months swap

this month we decided to do a tag swap intend of a card I use my whippersnapper stamps love them with Ki memories paper from last year. the gum drop is glitter with doodle bug glitter and i colored with Copic markers and color pencils. the the goody goody stamp is just a part of a stamp the stamp actually says goody goody gum drops. the scallop part of the card i used the rectangle nestibilites.

turkey time

here my turkey card for this year . tried my hand at dry embossing it OK but not my best work probably one of my worst. but that OK I try need a lot more practice.

This is my daughter Courtney

I have not been able to blog for awhile my family has been going through a lot this month but things are starting to look better at home . we lost a very close friend to your family , Joyce is my daughters riding instructor for about 15 yrs. She past away last week and it has been hard on our family and ex specially my daughter. The big award banquet is this weekend for the end of the year awards for NIHJA. Joyce will be greatly missed. so we just need to get my daughter through this weekend . This is the first experience she has face with a close friend passing. so hopefully in the next week or so I can start to get back.

JOYCE YOU WILL BE GREATLY MISSED. BY ALL THAT KNEW YOU.

Leigh O'Brien's card challenge

this card is for a card challenge that Leigh O'Brien is having for the month of Oct. I used Imaginisce papers and house mouse stamp ,Copic markers and color pencils. if you click on the picture you can read the saying on the black pieces of paper it says it all about the candy in purple.

acrylic frame

Made this frame to match the Christmas ornament that i made for a friend. I used basic grey paper chestnut roan , basic grey rub-ons and some Christmas ribbon and Jolee's Santa. this is very easy to make I use a glue stick to adhere to the paper to the block and pop dots on the Santa and sleigh to lift them off the block .

life

are family received some very bad news today my uncle Denis has only 12- 24 months to live, he went to the doctor the other day because he was having a hard time breathing only to find out yesterday that his whole body is filled with cancer. they say that the cancer has been in his body for a least five year. this side of my family lives out east we don't see them very often but they where all here this summer to celebrate my parent 50Th. And my uncle was the one to plan a big part of it and to get all my mothers brother and sisters out here for this occasion . God made it work that everyone was able to be in one place together again., like we did every summer growing up ,we spend a couple of week out east with all of them. it SUCKS!!! that your life can change so fast. my prays our with you Uncle Denis, and knowing you ,you will live very day to the fullest. but i hope a miracle happens.

ornament swap

i created this ornament for one of the girl i work with for an ornament swap I used the new basic grey Christmas line. the base of the ornament is a piece of acrylic the Santa is for Jolee's you have to buy to set so you have eight reindeer's. hope she love it.

off work no school

my children were off school and i didn't have to work so i let them have friend over to play with so i could do some stamping here are the two new cards i made the black square on the mouse card says It all about the candy it is in white and did photo great. I used prisma markers and color pencil and stickles of course (if you know me it is all bout the bling). the next card is a CC design stamp the card is for my nephews b-day.

have to work tomorrow night but off Sunday and the kids and i are going to the professional kite flying at Brookfield zoo. picture time

Witchy card

bought this stamp at the stamp expo in St.Charle's Il. the other weekend from door country stamps. look like the wicked witch from wizard of oz. as a baby. colored with primsa markers and color pencils.

this months card swap

this is my card for this months card swap. I used a stamp from whippersnapper love there stamps

colored it with primsacolor marker and color pencils , paper is this years fall paper by Adornit called nutty and falls leaves words , I stamp a second turkey and cut out the body and head section and pop it up. the word goggle is also a whipper snapper stamp . I edge the papers in chestnut ink ribbon american craft.

another great weekend at the millers

Courtney had a great end of the year horse show finals. The show was held up at ledges in Rockton Il. NIHJA Senior medals class is the class that was the most inportant class. you had to be invited to show in this class. by either place first at one of the show during the year of have enough points to get invited. This is Courtney 5th year invited to this event Last year She placed 7th . This year she had a great ride and called was called back in the ring with 4 other girl for the test which is a several jumps and you are told to either trot to the jump or canter and sometime you are told to halt after a certain jump but you are not to the course until you come in the ring and you are told the course twice then all the girl turn there backs to the ring so you can't watch the girl that is jumping the course to make it fair. when Courtney went in the ring for the test she was in fifth place but she finished the event in 3rd it was great. She roded a wonderful round.

I am back

Have not had much time to post or work on many of my project to put on my blog. Been working to much and to many kids activities. will be posting a new needlework i finished tomorrow .
bye got get them off to school then going to my oldest daughters horse show. about hour away from home.

ART GONE WILD

My sister Trish are going to go to Cottage stampers in st.Charles tomorrow to take a card class being offer by ART GONE WILD!!! We are making a spinner card and a Shaker card .the company is bring a truck load of new stamps CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!

ballet recital

here is just a few pictures of the album i made for my

niece Olivia it is pictures from her ballet recital. I used the Maya Roads purse album. and lots of BLING the papers are a mix of many different company's. my favorite is the angel wings . Olivia wore a angel costume and then a cute devil costume. She did a ballet and tap dance.

soccer begins tomorrow

Tomorrow is the start of the fall season of soccer. at least two game every Saturday. this is not the best time of the year . love to go to the games it fun to watch them play and my kids love soccer.
NO, it the weather never knowing what to wear, is it going to be hot or cold , bring the umbrella or not . my car looks like i am going on a vacation. between blanket umbrellas ,chair, and soccer bags. then who game s first what field are we on do the games over lap or is there and hour between them . two forty minute game can take up four to five hours of your time depending then the games are. BUT you got to love it just for the smile on my kid faces when they have a game ,special when they win.

halloween card

This is a stamp i bought when i went on my scrapbook outting in milwuakee wis . area to five different stores. it is a longer stamp and more to it but i just want to do parts of it on the card.

this is my sympathy card for this months card swap with some of my co-workers stamp the daisy on acetate and color it in with Bic markers and added black half pearls . the flower stamp is from Stampendous Stamps.

One off to school

Matt left yesterday for college, Off to the big city of Chicago . Hope he will have a great time and get good grades. Court. Is leaving Sat. or Sun off to U of I last year. Graduation day this year. Made a really cute book from a kit that I got from a little scrapbook store in Wis. by Milwaukee.
after work to day I will put up a slide show of it.

Court get ready to go back to Uof I to an apartment that his being riped apart because of mold.
Matt is going off to the city to UIC for his freshman year he will be studying computer engineering and running track for them.
Justin is also off to a new school, Middle School but still that is a big deal to him. A whole new routine. and very early bus. if he takes the bus we will see.
then Tori I don't think she like be at school by herself with no sibling. well have to go I am working on a card for my next card swap. waiting on one more stamp to finish it off

road trips

my boys and husband are on there way to Cooper Town to see the baseball hall of fame. they saw the Washington nationals last night. then who knows what is next .

yesterday we went to the Milwaukee zoo.

new york

boys where in ny for the yankees last night , last season at yankee statium. to day they are going to look at shea statium.then head off to boston .

tonight they are in boston to see the red sox.

ball trip

boys saw the cleveland indians play last night , my husband ,doug caught a ball that was hit in to the stands.not sure if it was one of the home run balls. now they are on and 8 hour drive to NY to see the Yankees tonight.

saw Wicked yesterday it was fabulous would love to see it again before it leaves . This was my first time . we were up in the second to last row but the view was still great. never expected the ending. waiting for Mary Poppins ticket to go on sale for 2009 in Chicago. My my husband and boys are in cleveland to watch the indians . they got there last night or early this moring after the brewers game.They were at the rock and roll hall of fame when i talk to them then i think they are on there way to NY. to see the Yankees.

road trip

my husband and sons are leaving to day for a week of baseball games starting with Milwaukee brewers then off to Cleveland Indians with a stop at the rock and roll hall of fame. Then I not sure what the next game it is , but they are going as far as Boston to see the Red Sox.
Us girls are going to see Wicked in Chicago to day then who know what. the week is ours.

Happy Bithday Hayden

I finished the book I made for my nephew it was hard, I don't like to make books or layouts with out the pictures first. put it was a lot of fun. Also I learned how to create a video of it and put in my post it was fun.

day at the zoo

Took Tori and Justin to the Brookfield zoo yesterday what a great time . We spent About Nine hour there and took about 500 picture here is a very few. It was Ty beanie day they received a free ponder the frog beanie when we got in to the zoo . It is the year of the frog. Tori did want to leave the gorillas they were so active playing around. we probably spent a good half hour watching them play.

when we got home they wanted to know when were we going back good thing i bought a year pass. it payed for it self the first trip.

Found out today that my aunt on my father side of the family is lossing the battle with cancer . She live in fla . so I havent seen in many years .But I still have very good momeries of her and my uncle jack who passed away couple of years ago. As a child and young adult we spend lots of time together, many Holiday.

this is a baby card i made for a card exchange with some girl at work. I use Quickutz giraffe, MME 29Th st. market . and bazzil paper_ parakeet, sunbeam paperand brown. I edge the paper in roan brown ink the stamp is from Darcie's .

What a fun night

What a blast with Ali Edwards class , well worth the money. Mindy ,Cindy and I had a great time. We work on and 31 one days of July book, post when finished . which of course will be at the end of July.

we used lots of acrylic, happy day, SEI frames technique Tuesday chipboard, dreeves acyrlic album, which comes in several colors our was 8x8 white I bought 12x12 clear ,but there was pink i think yellow also.

then the next day all my Aunts and Uncles from out east are coming and my sister and her family are coming from Oregon. Then my son Justin is going away to camp for the week. Got ticket to go see Wicked in Chicago last night for July 27th cant wait. Well got to go.

party favors

I was playing around with my die cut and came up with a cute little party favors I used the Ellison flower die cut and the butterfly dragonfly die and on the flower i put a cloud 9 rain drop and use black sticklers to turn it in to a lady bug.
there is glitter on the petals of the flower and on the dragonfly .in the middle of the flower is cloud 9 drop. I am going to fill it with candy and a little bit of shreded paper
